Sunabeda Municipality Election: Independent Candidate Rajendra Kumar Patra Elected as Chairperson

Sunabeda: March 26, 2022: The much-awaited Sunabeda Municipality Chairman election result have dealt a severe blow to the ruling BJD party . Keeping aside all the speculation, Independent candidate Rajendra Kumar Patra has been elected as the Chairman of Sunabeda Municipality. A total of 22,126 voters cast their vote on 24th March’2022. AS many as 14 candidates were trying their luck for the coveted post,  Rajendra Kumar Patra has been declared  as the winner with 6936 votes in his favour. His close rival, BJD candidate Amit Kumar Agrawal, got 5840 votes, while Congress candidate Basant Kumar Tripathi got 3,312 votes, independent candidate Pallavi Khosla got 2940 and BJP candidate Vijay Chandra Ekudu got 1678 votes. However, counsilor candidates from the BJD party have performed exceptionally. Out of the 25 wards in the Municipality, the BJD Councilor candidates have registered their victory in  19 ward while the Congress candidates have won three, the BJP candidates two and the independent candidate one.  Here is the list of all winning councilors  of Sunabeda Municipality , starting from ward No. 1 to 25 : 1- Swarna Prabha Patnaik (BJD) 2-  Ram Benia ( Independent) 3- Susjita Bhatt (BJD) 4-  Asha Kadraka (BJD) 5- Manoj Suna (BJD) 6- Minati Mishra (BJD) 7- Gajendra Majhi (BJD) 8- Sabita Khara (BJP) 9- Jitendra Mahanandia (BJD) 10- Swarupa Patnaik (BJD) 11.- Ritu Kanta (BJD). 12- Mamata Kumari Khara( Congress) 13-  Rashmita Takri  (BJP)  14- Surendra Kumar Sethi (BJD) 15- Alka Lenka ( Congress) 16- Rabindra Kumar Pradhan (BJD) 17-  Vijay Lakshmi Bisoyi  (BJD) 18-  Mamata Roy (BJD) 19- Shankar Balaipadia ( Congress) 20- Prajnamayi Nayak (BJD) 21-  Kamini Totapadia (BJD) 22-  Dayanand Kuldeep(BJD) 23-  Jyoti Kuldeep (BJD) 24-  Buduri Alangpadia(BJD) and 25- Babita Khila (BJD). After being elected as Chairperson  Rajendra Kumar Patra marched with his supporters in a huge procession to thank the voters.
