Academic Council Meeting Held at Rayagada Autonomous College

Rayagada, September 9: An Academic Council meeting of Rayagada Autonomous College, Rayagada was held to discuss various academic matters and ensure the effective implementation of academic activities for the session 2026–2027. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Saraswati Ray, Principal and Chairperson of the Academic Council.
The meeting was attended by distinguished members of the Academic Council, including Prof. Maheswar Duria, V.C. Nominee, V. Dev University, Dr. Sujit Kumar Dehury, V.C. Nominee, V. Dev University, Sarath Kumar, Chartered Accountant and External Expert, K. Yashwanth Kumar, External Expert from Industry, other members of the Academic Council, Heads of various departments and faculty members of the college. The meeting began with an introductory address by Ramesh Chandra Huika, Academic Bursar, who welcomed the members and highlighted the significance of the Academic Council in maintaining academic standards, strengthening teaching-learning practices and promoting the overall academic development of the institution.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Saraswati Ray emphasized the importance of maintaining academic excellence and strengthening quality education in the college. She stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all departments, effective implementation of the curriculum, timely completion of academic activities and continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices. Y.V. Sai Madhav, Controller of Examinations , highlighted the importance of maintaining a transparent, systematic and student-friendly examination system. He emphasized timely conduct of examinations, proper evaluation and timely publication of results.
The distinguished guests and external experts also shared their valuable suggestions regarding curriculum development, quality enhancement, academic planning, examination reforms and strengthening the overall academic environment of the institution. Their views and suggestions were discussed by the members during the meeting. The participation of the Heads of different departments and other faculty members contributed to meaningful deliberations on various academic issues and institutional development. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Lizarani Sathpathy, Associate Academic Bursar, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, Academic Council members, external experts, departmental heads and faculty members for their valuable participation and constructive contributions. The Academic Council meeting reflected the college’s continued commitment to academic excellence, quality education, effective academic governance and the holistic development of students.
