Seva Sankalp Abhiyan:Transport Commissioner Reviews PM-RAHAT Implementation at Bhubaneswar Hospital

Bhubaneswar, September 17, 2026: The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a 30-day programme of the Commerce & Transport Department, is currently underway across Odisha with a focus on taking government services and welfare initiatives from policy to the people.
As part of the programme, Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur on Thursday visited Manipal Hospital, Bhubaneswar, to review the field-level implementation of PM-RAHAT, a cashless treatment scheme for road accident victims.
During the visit, the Transport Commissioner interacted with doctors, hospital authorities, patients and their family members to assess the delivery of benefits under the scheme. He urged all empanelled hospitals to ensure that eligible road accident victims receive timely treatment and the benefits available under PM-RAHAT.
Under the scheme, eligible road accident victims can avail themselves of cashless treatment of up to Rs.1.5 lakh for a period of up to seven days. As many as 789 private hospitals in Odisha are currently empanelled under the scheme.
