BMS Rayagada celebrates Viswakarma Jayanti as National Labour Day

Rayagada, September 17: Generally Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh(BMS) observes Viswakarma Jayanti as National Labour Day. In this connection Rayagada District Unit of BMS has observed the day with joy and spirit.
During early hours of the day, plantation was done and then a meeting was conducted at senior citizens office near Gayatri mandir Rayagada under the leadership of BMS District President. The meeting commenced after paying tributes to BMS founder Late Sri Dattopanto Thengdeyji along with lord Viswakarma and Bharat Mata followed by a Labour Song dedicated to all Labours of the Nation. A silent prayer was offered to all those labourers, who got demised during last year.
The meeting was graced by Subhash Chandra Mandal, Labour Commissioner as chief guest, Jogeshwar Das, Vice President BMS Odisha as a chief speaker, Niranjan Bhuyan ADLO as guest of honour. State Secretary and Pravari Viswaranjan Saha Joined the meeting and expressed the motto of BMS being apolitical, only largest Labour Union with utmost ethics and discipline with an intention to press for the rights of labour force having concern over enterpreneurship and National Interests as well. The contribution of labour force in Nation Building can never be ignored, may it be, the case of anganwadi worker, Asha karmi,Pachika, contractual workers, sweepers, security guards, unorganised sector labourers for whom BMS is the voice.
The event was conducted under active leadership of District President Mohan Rao Majhi,vSecretary Ganesh Sahu where All odisha anganwadi ladies workers association, Odisha State Asha karmi Sangh, Viswakarma Mazdoor Sangh, Rayagada Zilla Business Mazdoor Sangh, Rayagada Zilla Safai Mazdoor Sangh, Utkal Alumina Mazdoor Sangh, JK Paper Mills Mazdoor Sangh, IMFA Contractual Mazdoor Sangh, Pachika Sangh, Rayagada District Hotel Employees Sangh, Rayagada Zilla Swabalambi Karigar Sangh, Rayagada Zilla vegetable vendors Sangh, Municipality safai Mazdoor Sangh and executive body members from 11 blocks participated.
The event was moderated by Jayanti Padmalaya Sahu. Arun Kumar Lenka, Prem Kumar Patnaik, Sanjay Rajguru and others were present in the event. Usharani Das, Geeta Hial, Neha Singh, Dharma Singh Naag, Durga Madhav Ghosh, M Ram Babu, Niranjan Senapati and Sundar Rao Kadraka took lead in organising the mega event.
