Vilification Campaign Against Legendary Biju Patnaik

Bhubaneswar:While the whole world has acknowledged the contributions of legendary ace pilot former Chief Minister and Union Minister Biju Patnaik in rescuing the freedom fighters of Indonesia, attempts are rife by some unscrupulous persons to defame Biju Patnaik and Gyana Devi by claiming that Gyana Devi had never accompanied Biju Babu for rescuing the Indonesian leaders.
A Self-styled historian, researcher, archeologist,pilot and authority on Biju Patnaik has claimed that Biju Patnaik was never a good Pilot as he had crashed a number of Dakota planes while flying (!).
He has claimed in an interview to various electronic and web medias that Biju babu’s Wife Gyana Devi , though was holding commercial pilot license , never accompanied him in the rescue mission of rebel leaders of Indonesia. He claimed that Sultan Sahariar and Hatta were in Singapur from where they were rescued by Biju Babu and others.
while many intellectuals and common Citizens are repeatedly demanding to confer “BHARAT RATNA” on Biju Patnaik who contributed a lot for the of Indian independence movement while contribution a lot for freedom struggle of Indonesia and russia for which national flags of three countries were wrapped over his body during his funeral. No other leader of the world had got such honour in the History.
But media campaign by such persons creates a negative vibe and confusion in public mind which hurts sentiments of people of the state as well as those so love Biju Babu and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
It is very clear that such malicious campaign is aimed to undermine the image of Biju Patnaik and to hit at his favourite Son Naveen Patnaik, the undisputed leader of Odisha, strangely the senior leaders of BJD including the media cell of the party have so far not dismissed such vilification campaign to silence such elements.
it is high-time that the media cell of BJD and senior leaders of the party as well as in the administration should rise to the Occasion to bring the truth to light and put an end to the misinformation campaign against our legendary leader forthwith. The media persons of Odisha should also exercise caution and verify facts before publishing and circulating such false and fabricated stories about legendary Biju Patnaik the great son of Odisha.
