PRASANTA PATNAIK HONOURED WITH KABI ANANTA PATNAIK SRUJAN SAMMAN 2023

BHUABNESWAR: Eminent journalist, photo-journalist and creative writer Prasanta Patnaik was honoured with Kabi Ananta Patnaik Srujan Samman on behalf of Utkal Sahitya Samaj and Kabi Ananta Patnaik Smruti Committee on Sunday evening. Internationally famous poet Jayanta Mohapatra who was the star attraction of the meeting felicitated Prasanta Patnaik at a colourful function said that the writings of the great poet Ananta Patnaik should be properly evaluated by the readers and critics of present days. His immortal writings has added to the wealth of Odia literature in very many ways.
The meeting was oorganised at the Sri Ramachndara Bhavan, Cuttack on 25th Juane, 2023.It was attended by a large number of poets, writers, intellectuals and media persons.
Dr Govinda Chand, president of Utkal Sahitya Samaj presided over the meeting which was attended by many senior literary persons of Cuttack. Poet Kedar Mishra spoke about socialistic approach of the great poet Ananata Patnaik in his poems for the young and old. He also narrated about the bold expressions of Mr Patnaik in his poems without fear as a true communist.
Mr Bijoy Padhiary, Secretary of Ananta Patnaik Smruti Committee spoke about the rare social experiments in Patnaik’s writings.
Replying to the felicitation Mr Prasanta Patnaik said that he was highly influenced by the writings of Ananta Patnaik from child hood and had accepted him as a guide in personal and literary life.
