Sri Makaranda Muduli (MLA Rayagada) visited Project UDYAMEE of Utkal Alumina

Rayagada, 3rdMarch 2023: With a vision to transform the lives of community and to promote an entrepreneurial ecosystem in this region, Utkal Alumina International limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries limited of Aditya Birla Group has initiated project UDYAMEE in partnership with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India which has successfully grounded 138 enterprises at Kashipur and Thuamul Rampur area.
Sri MakarandaMuduli, Honourable MLA Rayagada expressed his interest and visited project UDYAMEE on 2nd March 2023 to understand the uniqueness of this project and it’s impact it has created in the lives of the community at Kashipur.
He witnessed the Business Plan Appraisal Committee meeting of UDYAMEE as a distinguished guest and joined by Sri Bikash Chandra Bain GM DIC, Dr Lopamudra PriyadarshiniGM (CSR, CR & S) UAIL, Dr.Subrat Biswal Director (EDII) and Sri Deepak Raj, Branch Manager SBI,Tikiriwho were among the members of the appraisal committee. The committee has approved 36 business ideas presented by the aspiring rural entrepreneurs. All the approved business ideas will be supported by project UDYAMEE for further business incubation.
In his special remarks, Sri Muduliexpressed his heartfelt appreciation to Utkal Alumina and UDYAMEE team for the kind effort. He mentioned that, this unique and innovative project is not only transforming the socio-economic status of the community but also contributing towards the local economy development of this region. It will provide employment opportunities to many migrant and skilled workers in the area as mentioned by Sri Muduli. He encouraged the entrepreneurs to become a role model in their respective area and motivated them to inspire other youths towards self -entrepreneurship. He acknowledged the effort of EDII, Regional Industry Centre, Rayagada and all Bankers for becoming a part of this growth journey.
During the event, Sri Bikash Chandra Bain, the GM DIC, highlighted that the UDYAMEE project is one of it’s kind and unique initiative among the entire CSR fraternity. He stressed the importance of encouraging enterprises that can tailored to the needs of the local community, which can facilitate market connections and meet the demand of the area providing employment at the same time.
Sri Muduli had inauguratedMajhigouri Welding Workshop of Mr. Rajendra Naikand Maa Tara Tarini Puffed Rice Mill of Mr. Hrusikesh Sahu at Tikiri. which are promoted by project UDYAMEE.
