Dandakaranya Development Campaign steer against Neredi Project of AP

Paralakhemundi,07/10/26: Dandakaranya Development Campaign(DDC) triggered to stop Neredi Project adventure by Andhra Pradesh(AP).Accumulated by Supreme Court Order based on biased Tribunal preface,AP Government has an advanced position to start Neredi Project at Odisha basin.But clear geographical location still not identified,where 106 acres of Odisha land will be submerged that,too,some villages of Gunupur Subdivision of Rayagada district & 7 villages of Kashinagar block of Gajapati district will be dislocated.

So a team led by Chairman of DDC Gourachandra Tripathy met with Chairman of Supervisory Committee of Vanshadhara Water Dispute Tribunal (VWDT)G. Nagamohan & Member Secretary Aditya S.S.Bhulla at Bhubaneswar & apprised them on core issues of those small tenant farmers & their livelihood staying at the coastal areas of Vanshadhara basin.

This will more affect on climate change & invite natural calamities in Odisha zone too.

So on behalf of DDC team requested to cancel visit of those technical team to Odisha area.So to analyze submerge areas,livelihood resources,environment which should not be destabilized before reaching concurrent venture;they told the visiting team.

Concerns are fiddling where those would be displaced families will go,what will be their domicile & sustainability.

 Questions thundering & whirling around them.

Better late than never Mohan Majhi Government must feel their core & stubborn issues,before streamline to endorse AP Officials to Odisha den, reminded the team.Better there not be law & order issue on their visit,where those appeased villagers are on pal gloom shock on SC Judgement.

DDC wholeheartedly condemned such vicious plan of technical team visit to Odisha zone & determined to support the expected displaced villagers.
