3rd Round Table Meeting by FIDR to Address Malnutrition Concerns in Koraput.

Koraput, (Nishapati Nayak) : The 3rd Round Table Meeting convened at the Conference Hall of Hotel Imperial Inn, Semiliguda, saw a dedicated effort to tackle the pressing issue of malnutrition in Koraput District. The meeting, chaired by District Officials and other Delegates from public sector brought together. The key stakeholders from District were Shri Suryakant Behera, Deputy Director of the District Planning Monitoring Unit, ADMO, DSWO, CDPO, Supervisor, and CSR Officers from NALCO and HAL.

The discussions centered on the current status of malnutrition in the region and the underlying reasons contributing to it. Through insightful deliberations, the participants identified various factors contributing to malnutrition and explored potential solutions to address them effectively.

During the meeting, the district administration and public sector officers pledged their commitment to enhancing child nutrition and health throughout Koraput District. Specific commitments were made to implement targeted interventions aimed at combating malnutrition and improving the overall well-being of children in the region.

Deputy Director DPMU, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the issue of malnutrition, stating, “It is imperative that we work together as a community to tackle the root causes of malnutrition and ensure the holistic development of our children.As proposed by FIDR ,Koraput Development Forum was formed where the members from Civil society ,District administration and public sector will be the part of the forum which will aim the holistic development of the district and will focus on upliftment of the tribal people .

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of determination and a shared commitment to prioritize the well-being of children in Koraput District. Through continued collaboration and concerted efforts, the stakeholders aim to make significant strides in combating malnutrition and improving the health and nutrition outcomes for children across the region.
