Two arrested for attempt to murder and assault

Brahmapur,(24/08/26):In connection with Gosaninuagaon PS Case No. 318 dated 21.08.2026 under Sections 126(2)/296/109(1)/118(1)/351(3)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita read with Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act, Satrughna Gouda (28), S/o Babula Gouda, and Babi Jena @ Basudeb Jena (33), S/o Late Sahadev Jena, both residents of Gothabandha, PS Berhampur Sadar, have been arrested.

The complainant alleged that on 19.08.2026 the accused persons abused him in filthy language and threatened to kill him. On 21.08.2026 at about 8:00 PM, while he was standing at Chandi Mandir Sahi along with his friend, the accused arrived in a car and assaulted him with a sword. In the incident, his friend sustained deep bleeding injuries on the left hand, which got trapped and crushed in the car door. The attack was motivated by pre-existing enmity.

One Suzuki Dezire car used in the offence was seized. The accused persons were arrested on 22.08.2026 and have been forwarded to the Hon’ble Court.
