TENSION MOUNTAIN IN CONTAINMENT ZONE,POLICE INJURED

ROURKELA:Once again Tension Mountain in Rourkela containment zone this morning when few angry mobs of that containment zone charged the police present there in Mahatab Road area and destroyed the police barricading covered to contain people from outside contacts. Injured police are taken to hospitals for treatment and the entire area is cordoned off by platoons of police and all top police officials including DIG (Western Range) Kabita Jalan, SP, Rourkela, Siva Subramani are present there with other officers. The situation is tensed now and this has pushed the lockdown more tensed. Recently, the local administration has withdrawn the sealing of buffer zone but this incident now pushed the administration to rethink about this lifting and extending relaxation to this containment zone. Till the time of writing this report, no clear cut information is sought for the reason of this tension but the preliminary investigation suggests that it might have spiked because of the demand to lift restrictions for containment zone which is already there for more than weeks. The information is also sought that a peace committee meeting will be conducted soon to counsel the agitators. This has also done once before few weeks when few agitators pelted stone on police and took law in their hand. Anyway everybody’s eye is on the issue and it is expected that the solution will come soon and normalcy will be restored in the area.
