Teachers’ Day Celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety at DAV Gurukul School, Balimela In Malkangiri

Balimela, Malkangiri, September 5, 2026: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety at DAV Gurukul School, Balimela, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former President of India and eminent educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The programme was attended by the students and teachers of the school. School Principal Smt. Mamata Jena highlighted the significance of Teachers’ Day and spoke about the life and contributions of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan through a series of interesting anecdotes and short stories.
Teachers including Anjali Jena, Amisha Mandal, Kamini and Sangeeta also spoke to the students about the importance of Teachers’ Day and the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the lives of students.
The students expressed their gratitude and affection towards their teachers by presenting them with flowers and gifts. They also delivered speeches on the significance of Teachers’ Day in English, Odia and Hindi.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by distribution of sweets among the students and teachers.
