Odisha Police Orders Immediate Transfers of Three Inspectors

Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative move, the Odisha Police has ordered the transfer of one Assistant Sub-Inspector and three Inspectors to new postings across the state.
The decisions were taken by the Police Establishment Board on 14 August 2026 and issued through official orders from State Police Headquarters, Kataka.
Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Sanjay Kumar Muduli, currently serving in Jagatsinghpur district, has been transferred and posted to the Special Branch, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.
The decisions were taken by the Police Establishment Board on 14 August 2026 and issued through official orders from State Police Headquarters, Kataka.
Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Sanjay Kumar Muduli, currently serving in Jagatsinghpur district, has been transferred and posted to the Special Branch, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. The order cites vacancy position, administrative requirements and the exigency of public service as the reasons for the move. He has been directed to be relieved immediately.
In a separate order, three Inspectors have also been reassigned:
Nilamani Nayak, presently with CID CB, has been posted to Bhadrak district.
Amitav Das, also from CID CB, has been transferred to Bhadrak.
Abhimanyu Durga, currently in Baragada, has been posted to Kalahandi. His earlier transfer order to Khordha district (issued on 6 June 2026) has been modified accordingly.
These transfers too have been made keeping in view vacancy positions, administrative needs and public service requirements. All officers are to be relieved without delay.
