NSSHO sensitizes on schemes in association with MSME-DFO, Rayagada

Rayagada, July 22: A mega awareness campaign was organized by National SC-ST Hub Odisha (NSSHO), Bhubaneswar under the aegis of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises(MSME) in association with its Development & Facilitation Office(DFO) for the SC- ST and Women MSEs, Rayagada.
The campaign was attended by General Manager DIC, Lead District Manager, Director RSETI, Rayagada, who  addressed  the target group on various aspects related to MSME, special offers and incentives available to the SC-ST MSEs as well as the hand holding support extended by various departments . At the outset, Chief Manager, NSSHO Bhubaneswar Shri Subhasis Das welcomed the guests & participants and  presented  the brief outline of NSSHO vision, objectives and schemes for the MSEs in general and SC- ST entrepreneurs in particular. Asst. Director, Branch Office MSME-DFO Shri N. Koti Ratnam while detailing  the existing & prospective entrepreneurs in the gathering on various MSME schemes, also deliberated on five cardinal principles for successful entrepreneurship.

On behalf of NSSHO, Bhubaneswar P K Kar, Finance Facilitation Professional and Bikash Kumar Panda, E-Tendering Professional made detailed presentation on the Bank finance schemes,  issues and solutions, Vendor registration & enrolment related steps and issues to take care of  in E-procurement process before the target group.

About 57 SC- ST and Women candidates actively participated in the sensitization programme that stretched to post launch interactive session and the panel officials addressed all the queries raised in the process including one-to one counselling of the candidates seeking further guidance.

“Though NSSH scheme, initiated in 2016, is aimed at capacity enhancement of SC/ST entrepreneurs and promoting entrepreneurship culture amongst the SC/ST population & empowering them to participate in public procurement process and fulfil the mandated target of 4% procurement from SC/ST enterprises under Public Procurement Policy by the Ministries, Departments and CPSEs, there is lot of space to work in Rayagada, which is a SC/ST dominant districts as well as an aspirational district”, said Shyam Das, Chief of Swabalamban, an outfit to mould budding entrepreneurs of the district to become self reliant and at the same time be job providers.
