In Rayagada: SIR-2026 Progress Review and Field Verification by Electoral Roll Observer

Rayagada district last Wednesday to conduct field-level supervision across various blocks.

In the first phase of the visit, Reddy inspected New Colony under Gunupur block to conduct an on-site verification of a Form-7 case identified for super-checking. He interacted with the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) concerned and gathered detailed information regarding the verification procedure, supporting documents, and the overall progress of super-checking. Subsequently, he visited Akhusingh-2 in Padmapur block and Mosariguda in Ramanaguda block to conduct on-site verifications of Form-6 cases selected for super-checking. During the inspection, he instructed the officials and BLOs concerned to carry out the verification process accurately and strictly in accordance with prescribed rules and guidelines.

During the tour, the Electoral Roll Observer also held discussions with representatives of various political parties. The deliberations covered the current phase of SIR-2026, progress within the district, and the claims, objections, and hearings phase. Reddy stressed ensuring transparency, impartiality, and timely execution at every stage of the program. Verification and super-checking of Form-6 and Form-7 cases remain ongoing. Following the completion of hearings and disposal of claims and objections, the final electoral roll will be published on September 21, 2026, as per the schedule.

Rayagada Collector Ashutosh Kulkarni, IAS, Rayagada Sub-Collector Ramesh Kumar Jena, Gunupur Sub-Collector Dudhal Abhishek Dilip, along with other district, sub-divisional, and block-level election officials and BLOs accompanied Reddy throughout the field visits. The district administration continues close monitoring to ensure all SIR-2026 activities concluding within the Election Commission’s mandated framework and timeline.
