Historic decision; Odisha Govt.Regularises Over 13,000 Contractual Junior Teachers

Bhubaneswar,20/03/26): In a historic decision  Odisha government on Friday approved the regularisation of over 13,000 contractual schematic junior teachers across the State,full Pay From Jan 2026.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi cleared the proposal, bringing teachers appointed during the 2023-24 period under regular government service from their respective dates of joining. The decision fulfils a key assurance made earlier by the Chief Minister.

The move is expected to directly benefit more than 13,000 junior teachers and address long-standing demands related to job security, pay parity and service conditions.

The decision has been widely welcomed by educators, who see it as a step towards improving morale in the sector and strengthening the State’s public education system.
