East Coast Rly GM inspects Rayagada division

Rayagada, March 20: General Manager(GM) of East Coast Railway, Parmeshwar Funkwal, conducted a detailed inspection of the Rayagada Division, accompanied by Amitabh Singhal, Divisional Railway Manager, Rayagada. The inspection covered Rayagada–Singapur Road–Theruvali section, with a focus on ongoing infrastructure development works, safety measures and working of railway offices in the Rayagada.
During the inspection Funkwal undertook a thorough review of the section from Singapur Road to Theruvali, including yards and third-line works. He examined critical safety components such as track conditions, signalling systems, bridges and other ongoing infrastructure projects.The inspection was attended by Executive Director, RVNL, V.R. Naidu, Senior Divisional Engineer (North) M.V. Ramana, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer, along with other senior railway officials.
GM also inspected Rayagada Railway Station, where he assessed passenger amenities and reviewed the progress of various ongoing works, including railway offices, the temporary DRM office and the construction of the new DRM building. He interacted with railway officials and reviewed the progress of infrastructure projects in the Rayagada–Singapur Road–Theruvali section, emphasizing timely execution and adherence to safety standards.
