GAIL (India) Limited Commences Domestic PNG Supply at N-6, Bhubaneswar under National PNG Drive 2.0 on Capital Foundation Day

Bhubaneswar, April 2026: Under the ongoing initiatives of the National PNG Drive 2.0, Khurda GAIL (India) Limited successfully commenced Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG) supply at N-6, IRC Village, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar on 13th April 2026.

The launch coincided with the celebration of the 78th Capital Foundation Day of Bhubaneswar, marking a significant step towards expanding clean energy access in the city.

The event was graced by the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bhubaneswar, Aparajita Sarangi, who attended as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the DPNG supply to the area. The programme was also attended by Shri Kausik Das, General Manager (GM–CGD & OIC), Bhubaneswar, along with other officials from GAIL CGD, and residents of the N-6 locality.

During the event, Shri KausikDas elaborated on the benefits of Domestic Piped Natural Gas and outlined GAIL (India) Limited’s roadmap to extend gas supply to every household in the locality. He emphasized the company’s commitment to ensuring wider accessibility of clean, reliable, and efficient energy solutions for urban households.

In her address, the Hon’ble MP shared her personal experience as a DPNG user and encouraged residents to adopt this clean and efficient fuel. She highlighted key advantages of PNG, including enhanced safety, convenience, uninterrupted supply, and cost-effectiveness, and urged households to transition towards this eco-friendly energy source being promoted by GAIL (India) Limited.

The commencement of DPNG supply at N-6, IRC Village marks another important milestone under the National PNG Drive 2.0, reinforcing GAIL (India) Limited’s commitment to promoting clean, safe, and efficient energy solutions.

The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the quality of life for residents while contributing to a greener and more sustainable urban environment in Bhubaneswar.
