FICCI Odisha State Council held Its First Meetingof 2026 – 27

Bhubaneswar : The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Odisha State Council conducted its First Meeting for the year 2026 – 27 on 29 April 2026 at Bhubaneswar. The meeting brought together distinguished industry leaders, entrepreneurs &senior executives to formally form the Council and lay the foundation for a structured policy advocacy roadmap for the state of Odisha under the leadership of MrJagannath P. Nayak, Chairman, FICCI Odisha State Council &President & Unit Head – Aditya Aluminium, Hindalco Industries Ltd and Mr. Sanjaya Satapathy, Co-Chairman, FICCI Odisha State Council &CHRO, IMFA.
While giving his inaugural address Mr Jagannath Nayak said, “FICCI’s strength lies in its strategic value proposition—its ability to provide industry with access to policy advocacy, leadership engagement, research‑based inputs, and meaningful networking at both the state and national levels. Whether it is representation before governments, participation in policy dialogues, or creating avenues for collaboration and global outreach, FICCI continues to be a trusted institutional partner for Indian industry.
As a State Council, our responsibility is to leverage this institutional strength locally, enhance member engagement, and expand FICCI’s footprint across sectors and regions of Odisha. We must also work together to strengthen membership, encourage wider participation, and ensure that the benefits of FICCI reach enterprises of all sizes, added Mr Nayak.
The deliberations at the first meeting were focussed on recognizing areas of policy advocacy which would help speed up the industrial growth in Odisha and ease of doing business in the State. The members had a detailed discussion on regulatory reforms, investment promotion, Skill and MSME development, infrastructure development, and sustainable industrial practices; all key elements which would help position Odisha as an attractive location for new as well as existing domestic and foreign investments.
The meeting experienced the active involvement of several industry leaders, including Ms. Monica Nayar Patnaik, Managing Director, Eastern Media Ltd., Mr J K Mohanty, CMD, Swosti Group, Mr. Ghanashyam Parida, Head – Odisha Projects, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AMNS), Mr. Rajen Padhi, Director, Exim Consultancy, Mr. Pawan Somani, Head- Mining Services, Essel Mining Ltd, Mr Alex Thomas, Resident Director, Jindal Stainless Ltd, Mr Sushanta Kumar Mishra, EIC – FAMD and Ms Rashmi Sahoo, Managing Director, FarrmB and other eminent industrycaptains from Dalmia Cement, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd, Welspun Living, World Skill Centre, PwC, Facor Alloys were also present.
