Educational and coaching institutions are expected having the Civic Sense(!)

Berhampur, 18/05/26):Educational and coaching institutions are expected to instil civic sense, discipline, and respect for public property among students. It is therefore unfortunate that some institutions themselves are pasting posters over the city’s public paintings and defacing civic spaces created for beautification.

BeMC authority on Monday  has already imposed fines on some institutions for such violations, and special cleaning drives are also being carried out regularly to remove posters and restore the paintings.

Daily enforcement and monitoring will now continue, and strict penalties will be imposed on all violators.

All institutions and establishments are requested to act responsibly and cooperate in preserving the beauty and dignity of the city.

BeMc Commissioner  A.Sasya Reddy,IAS informed  that the institutions were first asked to remove the posters and banners, but they did not respond

Sources said, the private educational institutions have been using the walls of government establishments, especially schools and colleges, for luring students to their campus which evoked resentment among the residents.
