Brahmapur,(14/07/26): Tragedy struck Berhampur’s Shantinagar Lane-5 on Wednesday when a young woman allegedly set herself ablaze by pouring kerosene over her body.
She sustained severe burn injuries and was being rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for advanced treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries while being transported.
The shocking incident unfolded under the jurisdiction of Badabazar police station, leaving the locality shaken. The motive behind her extreme step remains unclear, and police are working to piece together the circumstances that led to the act..
