AREAS UNDER CONTAINMENT ZONE IS FREED AND CORONA POSITIVE CASES IN THE AREA IS SOMEHOW STABLE

ROURKELA: Rourkela is an industrial city and also a smart city but after finding corona positive case here last month few areas of the main road Rourkela was adjourned as containment zone and the areas have been sealed as per the instruction from RMC (Rourkela Municipal Corporation). Few days back violence had happened in the area by few protestors demanding to lift containment zone and had thrown stones on police where many police personnel and media people were injured. Yesterday after a in-depth analysis, The commissioner of RMC has ordered to free some areas under containment zone after seeing improvement in corona situation.  The areas which declared free are Janat Niwas lane, Dinanath lane, Telipada and Plant site road including areas where Plant site Police station is situated. In this areas corona tests have been conducted on those having cold and fever and few symptoms of corona. But the results are negative in many cases which was a good sign. In containment zone already 2000 swab tests have been conducted by a team of more than 150 health workers and ASHA workers. It seems corona cases are decreasing but vigilance has to be maintained and soon it will free from containment zone, said, Commissioner, RMC, Dibyajyoti Parida. The much more threat is now the migrant workers who are coming to the city. Last time many cases are found positive, those who had come from outside state and the movement is still continuing. The local administration is all vigilant with its different defense mechanism.  Till now more than 5000 migrants have registered their names in RMC who are willing to come back to the city. The need of the hour is to conduct medical test and to make them quarantine with its resources for the new comers as discussed.
