Paralakhemundi-Since last fortnight it was really a hectic situation for cremation to get sufficient cattle dung cakes which was long traditional at Paralakhemundi.
Efforts taken by activist like Basant Kumar Panda and Media focus district administration turned up massive grievances of public for alternatives as firewood’s for cremation. DFO has been instructed to supply such firewood’s from OFDC for funeral. Cost of 1 quintal will be Rs.250 with 12x3x3 feet size.
Further as the border Andhra Pradesh at Pathpatnam which is nearer to main crematorium from a saw mill it will be available for Rs 4500 for 3 tons if required.
Such humanitarian efforts by Basant Kumar Panda indeed accoladed by people of Paralakhemundi to fulfill need of hours.
