60 NEW CORONA POSITIVE CASES IN SUNDERGARH HAS ALARMED THE SITUATION

ROURKELA:The corona figure is increasing in Sundergarh district that to maximum in Rourkela and today the figure is 60 out of which 50 are from Rourkela and rest 10 are from Bisra, the area outskirt of Rourkela. Now the situation is grieve because corona is now affecting the village areas which is very sensitive in nature because many people stay in villages are not much aware of corona and its science. Rather they are not fully following the guidelines to contain corona like maintaining social distancing, using mask and sanitizer. Another danger is houses in villages are very congested which will intensify the infections. Till today the total infection in Sundergarh district stands at 917, out of which 727 have recovered fully with two deaths.
In this new lockdown, it is observed that many people who are in the market either purchasing vegetable or fish, meat or chicken not following social distancing and the shop keepers or vendors are also not serious about it, hence completely violating the guidelines. Local administration has turned blind eyes to all these issues. Hardly any strict action is being taken, unlikely in the past. Hence, the fear of administration is missing. During lockdown public movement is frequently observed in smaller lanes, the clever roadies avoid main roads and find shorter routes where police will not be available. It is also observed that many people are travelling with medical prescriptions to cheat the policemen who are on job; the fact of the matter is they absolutely don’t need any medicines or doctor’s advice.
Many vendors dealing with non-essential items are also opening their shops finding lack of supervision by the competent authority. Anyway, the conclusion is the mass violation of Govt. guidelines for Covid is everywhere and as a result we are having increased number of corona positive cases. Administration has to take the onus to check all these issues if they want to contain the spread of corona.
