FIVE MORE POSITIVE CASES IN KALAHANDI DISTRICT

BHAWANIPATNA: Five positive cases including four female and one male detected positive on Friday in Arkabahelipada containment zone of Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi District as told by the district administration in a press release.
According to district administration sources, 174 swab samples were sent for corona test after a 58-year-old man tested positive on June 27. The report confirmed five samples corona positive. All the infected persons belong to Arkabahalipada in Bhawanipatna town and Arkabahalipada has been declared as containment zone by the district administration.
On 27th June Swab of one 58 year old male of Arkabahelipada of Bhawanipatna collected and sent to SUM Hospital Bhubaneswar where he found positive.
Contact person and active surveillance of the locality in Arkabahelipada in ward no.10 of Bhawanipatna municipality was under containment zone by the administration.
Bhawanipatna- Khariar road already announced containment zone. Another eight roads connecting this area have been sealed.The total area of 03 KMs radius of the containment zone has been declared as buffer zone.
In the process Swab collected from 414 persons on random basis from the containment zones and contact persons. Out of this 414 swab collection for test 174 Swab test report available so far and 5 positive cases detected, rest 240 persons yet to come.
Contact tracing of the positive cases and Swab samples of contacts and random samples of the containment zone and in different parts of the town will be collected randomly as told by the district administration.
