Police Raid Lodge Near Tata Benz in Berhampur Over Alleged Sex Racket; Five Taken for Questioning

Brahmapur, October 9, 2026: Police reportedly raided a lodge near Tata Benz in Berhampur on Thursday evening following information about alleged immoral activities on the premises.

The raid was conducted at around 8:30 PM by a police team led by the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of BN Pur Police Station, along with other police personnel.

During the operation, police reportedly seized more than six mobile phones, furniture and other articles from the lodge.

The persons present at the spot were also questioned in connection with the allegations.

According to preliminary information, five persons, including a customer, the lodge owner and three women allegedly involved in sex work, were taken to the police station for questioning.

The exact nature and extent of the alleged activities are yet to be established. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
