BSE Odisha Secretary visits PM SHRI Bilesu High School; Commends student talent and innovative academic initiatives

Rayagada, October 9: On the occasion of his three-day official tour to Rayagada district, Saroj Kumar Behera, Secretary of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, paid an inspection visit to the PM SHRI Government SSD High School in Bilesu. He was accompanied during the visit by Rayagada District Education Officer (DEO) Bhajanlal Majhi. During his visit, Behera reviewed the overall academic environment, ongoing infrastructural developments, and the diverse talents of the students.
Interacting directly with the learners despite prevailing infrastructural limitations, he commended their enthusiasm, creativity, and innate potential. He also took stock of the initiatives being implemented under the PM SHRI scheme across schools. Behera lauded the teaching faculty for their dedication, professional commitment, and sustained scholastic and co-curricular initiatives aimed at holistic student development.
Senior teacher Dr. Dwiti Chandra Sahu briefed the Secretary on the school’s innovative programs. The Secretary expressed particular appreciation for the project-based presentations delivered by students enrolled in vocational streams, specifically Electronics & Hardware and Tourism & Hospitality. Before concluding his visit, the BSE Secretary recorded his impressions and an encouraging message in the school’s visitor log. Headmaster S. R. Ladi noted that the Secretary’s observations serve as a major motivation toward elevating academic quality, upgrading infrastructure, and fostering well-rounded student growth.
The occasion marked a proud milestone for the institution. Among others present during the visit were DPC Planning Coordinator Surendra Kumar Sathua, Program Coordinator Dilip Kumar Sabat, and the entire teaching faculty of Bilesu High School.
