UAIL Felicitates Youth from Peripheral Villages on Securing Employment

Rayagada, 29/7:  Utkal Alumina International Ltd. (UAIL), a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Ltd., under the Aditya Birla Group, organised a felicitation ceremony for nine youth from its peripheral villages who have secured employment as Welder Technicians at IFB, a leading Bengaluru-based manufacturer of home appliances and precision engineering components.

The successful candidates include six youth from Bagrijhola village and one each from Sanamatikana, Pindakapadar and Badlijharan. They completed a three-month welding training programme at the Aditya Birla Skill Centre (ABSC), Rayagada, under UAIL’s CSR initiative, Project Kaushal, which focuses on enhancing employability and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth.

UAIL’s CSR team played a vital role in identifying, mobilising and motivating the candidates while also supporting them by bearing their travel and food expenses throughout the training period.

Congratulating the achievers, UAIL CSR Head Lopamudra Mishra, said the company remains committed to empowering local communities through skill development, livelihood generation, women’s empowerment and infrastructure development, enabling inclusive and sustainable growth in the region.

The felicitation programme was held at the Hadiguda Gram Panchayat Office under the chairmanship of Sarpanch Jadumani Majhi. Parents of the selected candidates, the ABSC team were attended the event. UAIL plant CSR DH Diganta Mohanty, Sudhir Nayak, and other CSR officials were encouraged the newly recruited candidates. On the occasion utility kits distributed before departing to join their new assignments.
