Odisha Launches Revamped OFSDS Website, Expanding Digital Ecosystem for Sustainable Forest Governance

OFSDP taking remarkable steps towards Livelihood Development & Environmental Conservation: Hon’ble Minister

Bhubaneswar, July 23, 2026:The revamped website of Odisha Forestry Sector Development Society (OFSDS) was launched on Wednesday at a special programme held at AranyaBhawan in Bhubaneswar.

The website, www.ofsds.odisha.gov.in, was inaugurated by Shri Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia, Hon’ble Minister for Forest, Environment & Climate Change and Labour & Employees’ State Insurance, Government of Odisha, who attended the event as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Singkhuntia said the Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (Phase II) has been making significant contributions towards forest conservation while strengthening sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities.

The various people-centric initiatives being implemented under the project are improving people’s livelihoods and creating new opportunities for income generation. At the same time, the project is playing an important role in enhancing the state’s green cover, protecting the environment and promoting sustainable forest management,” he said.

The event also witnessed the release of the Annual Report (2025–26) of the OFSDP-II, the Souvenir of the 14th National Workshop on JICA-Assisted Afforestation Projects in India.

On the occasion, the Hon’ble Minister also inaugurated the Integrated Forest Monitoring and Command Centre (IFMCC), established at AranyaBhawan to strengthen the monitoring, protection and management of forest resources through technology-enabled systems. The state-of-the-art centre will facilitate real-time monitoring, data-driven analysis and faster decision-making, thereby enhancing the efficiency of forest management and conservation efforts across the State.

In addition, the CA Land bank in Degraded Revenue Forest Land, Odisha Forest Management System 2.0, and a suite of web applications developed under the IFMCC were also launched during the programme.

The event was attended by Dr. K. Murugesan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force, Odisha; Smt. Uma Nanduri, PCCF (Kendu Leaves); Shri G. Rajesh, Add’l. PCCF (Nodal) and Project Director, OFSDP-II; Shri Anand Kumar Prabhakar, Deputy Inspector General of Forests, MoEF&CC; Shri T. Ashok Kumar, CEO, CAMPA Odisha; Shri V. Karthick, Conservator of Forests (GIS & IT); Shri Swayam Mallik, Special Secretary to Government; Shri K. S. Pradeep, Director, Environment-cum-Special Secretary to Government; Smt. RinkuKumari, Joint Project Director, OFSDP-II; along with other senior officers of the Department.
