Rupees four lakhs govt ex-gratia to the family of late Rabindra Nath Mohini, Press Reporter of Gunupur

Rayagada (DR Badal Tah): Odisha government has sanctioned Rs.4 lakhs financial assistance for late Rabindra Nath Mohini, who was working as a Press Reporter in Sarvasadharana news paper at Gunupur. Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Deptt of Govt of Odisha Basant Kumar Pradhan informed about the money sent directly to his wife Ritu Mohini’s bank account by State Government’s Information and Public Relations Department. Late Mohini served as Reporter of Sarvasadharana of Gunupur from its inception till August 6, 2023.  Late Mohini was a hard-working, determined, multi-lingual personality. Therefore, he was also honored by Sarvasadharana. His untimely demise left the family devastated by the loss of a talented journalist. He was insured as a correspondent of the state government. On behalf of Media Cares Rayagada, the members went to his residence and expressed their condolences and extended a helping hand. A condolence meeting was organized under the leadership of the Gunupur Press Union and on the request of its members, the local Gandhi International school offered special concessions to Mohini’s daughter’s tuition till she went to college.  
 
Rayagada District Media Care President Dr Badal Kumar Tah, General Secretary Ranjan Kumar Rath and some local media organizations like Gunupur Press Union requested the state government through district administration to accelerate the assistance from Journalist Welfare Fund. On written request, the State Government has provided Rs 4 lakh to the family of a working journalist who died suddenly. However, many working journalists have died in Rayagada district. For them, Rayagada District Media Care is continuing its efforts to get the government’s assistance amount in a phased manner. The efforts of office bearers of Media Care are very important as some families are yet to receive the insurance amount from the government.
 
Mohini’s family members expressed their gratitude to the President Tah, General Secretary Rath, Trinath Khadanga, Pramod Sahu, Anil Sahukar and others such as Rayagada District Collector, Rayagada Media Cares, Gunuppur Press Union and the Information and Public Relations Department of the State Government for facilitating this amount of assistance from the Government.
