NTPC Kaniha Launches Ambitious “Girl Empowerment Mission 2024”
Bhubaneswar : NTPC Kaniha proudly inaugurated the 4th edition of Girl Empowerment Mission 2024 (GEM-2024) on May 14th, 2024, with welcoming 120 spirited girls from 23 neighbouring village schools.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal (Head of Project, NTPC Kaniha). In his address, he emphasized the pivotal role of initiatives and said “GEM is not merely a program; rather, it is our commitment, a promise to our daughters. It stands as a testament to our belief that every girl possesses the right to education, the right to dream, and the right to determine her own destiny”.
The workshop will be organized from 14.05.2024 to 10.06.2024. in the one-month long workshop offers the emphasizes the importance of health, hygiene, and physical well-being, offering sessions on yoga and sports.
As the GEM 2024 unfolds, it promises to be a journey of transformation for these 120 girls. They are not just students; they are the torchbearers of change, the future leaders who will shape the destiny of the communities and the nation
