Villagers on Sabotage Built Bridge for Trespassers Rescue

Paralakhemundi-Huge amount of fund streaming for development;but for a bridge long demand heeded down by authorities.At Janakpur of Rajpanka under RUdayagiri block of Gajapati district,villagers faced huddles to cross the canal.That village is at border of Gajapati & Rayagada districts.So villagers of both the districts depend on that communication.Moreiver that canal connect to Raipanka with Ludiguda of Guluba panchayat. Several times they knocked at elected representatives;besides time & again complain with block officials for construction of a permanent bridge.But all in vein.So disgusted on callousness from all sides,they decided in a meeting to construct a bridge at any cost.Each family contributed ₹1000 & with a cost of ₹52000 they made a temporary bridge by wooden materials. Manoj Padhy a local Social Activist who initiated for construction said that this bridge linked with around 20 surrounding villages.

Despite repeated knocking at administration they failed to assure regular communication. So villagers dared to make temporary bridge to get some relief on communications. Said Ramesh Karjee, a local villager though they got electricity  but hardly they assured its supply.Rather for 2 days in a week they assured electricity services.Being landless situation aggravated among villagers of Janakpur who deprived of getting job cards. That could not transmit their earning neither on central or state government schemes. Under such poverty stricken situation they are suffering ro assure yearly food security. But local authorities kept mum on such grave issues on their livelihoods.Now it came to the notice from block authorities that under Biju Setu Yojana a bridge will be constructed on above that canal.
