Veteran Journalist Nabinanand Gantayet’s 87th Birthday Observed

Paralakhemundi,(29/03/26):On behalf of Utkal Journalists Association(UJA)of Gajapati district,veteran journalist late Nabinanand Gantayet’s 87th birthday observed at Utkal Hiteishini Samaj premises.Presided by President of UJA of Gajapati district Dwijendranath Padhi, Dr.Sankar Prasad Bakshi as chief guest, veteran journalist Garudadhwaja Choudhry as chief speaker.
Saroj Bira Secretary of UJA & his son Bibekananda Gantayet shared on dias.Speakers lauded great efforts of legend,who turned as scribe after superannuation from Defence started with old Prajatantra Odia daily for Paralakhemundi the then subdivision. Long above 4 decades his strong commitments could emerge him for his sincerity & dedication that healed administration while publishing plain truth on newspaper.He was vibrant & approached time to time for core issues stimulated his stellar role.
Not the least his father late Shyamasundar Gantayet, too,an adviser of late Paralakhemundi Maharaja Sri Krushna Chandra Gajapati; as a scion on his draft skill that brought new Odisha to reinforce Britishers to unite Odia community in one platform.
Among others Paradip Nayak,Binod Jena,Asalata Panigrahi,Bhagabat Padhi, Nrushingha Charan Patnaik,Hrushikesh Gouda & others spoke about Gantayet & paid their tribute to him.Newspaper hawker Prasad Gouda honored with Nabinanda Gantayet Memorial award. More than hundred consisted of media crews & intellectuals attended the meeting.
