INDUSTRIALIST, FILM PRODUCER AND ACTOR SRINIVAS PAIKRAY PASSED AWAY.
Bhubaneswar:Eminent personality Srinivas Paikray, Industrialist, Film Producer cum actor passed here on Thursday according to daughter Ms.Madhusmita Parida.

I am saddened to know that my good friend for more than half a century, industrialist, film producer and actor Mr Srinivas Paikray passed away today. This was informed by his lawyer daughter Dr Madhumita Parida over phone to me.
A totally broken Madhumita told me ,” MAUSA BAPA CHALIGALE’ MU ANATHA HOIGALI”.
Srinuvas , who belonged to Narangarh village close to my native village in Khurdha district was son of Late Lngaraj Paikray,, who woned Tapang Light Foundry near Tapang railway station.
He had also established Lingaraj Vidyapith in Narangarh.
After completion of education Srinivas took over the industry and because of his fancy for films he produced films with veteran artist like Sarat Pujari. He also acted in Jivan sathi as a villian.
He was closely associated with Veteran script writer Gopal Chhotray, Dhira Buswal, Director Nitai Palit, Actor Akshya Mohanty, Kashyapa} Gita Dutta, Music Director Akshya Mohanty,and most of the well known actors during that time.
He had also patronized many actors and actresses. Because of family relationship we were very close. Srinivas was also a part of the barat during my marriage with Chandraprava in Puri.
Srinivas was a voracious reader and possessed a very good library with lots of books and periodicals. Few years back he had sufferred a brain stroke and while recovering stayed in his Bhubaneswar house . I was regularly keeping track of him and had met him along with my friend Devdas Chhitray at Madhumita’s house near Ravi talkies.
Here I am placing a Photograoh of Srinivas, Dhira Biswal along with me during our young days and another during hia stay in Bhubaneswar house last year.
