TALCHER JCI BRANCH PROVIDES 6 TRUCKS OF RELIEF AID TO BHADRAK FLOOD VICTIMS.

Talcher:The Junior Chamber International, Talcher Branch, in association with corporate company Nestle, has extended a helping hand to the flood victims in Bhadrak district through a grand programme.

 More than 100 villages in two blocks of Bhadrak district, Tihidi and Chandbali, have been affected by the flood and have been submerged in water for the past 15 days. The livelihood of more than 4000 families has been affected by the flood. In this hour of trouble, Talcher JCI has extended a helping hand.

 4000 relief packets in 6 trucks by Talcher JCI have left for Bhadrak . The programme organized at the local Madan Mohan Dharamsala was flagged off by Talcher Sub-Collector Ashish Ranjan Sahu. Each packet contained 10 kg rice, 3 kg pulses, 1 kg sugar, salt and edible oil, 500 grams spices, a cooking pot, a ladle, 4 plates, 4 glasses, 3 spoons, a bucket, a mug, 2 mats for sitting, mosquito repellent, candles, sanitary napkins, soap, mosquito nets, etc., informed former zone president of JCI Ashish Agarwal. Arun Modi, President of JCI Talcher Branch, said that Nestle Company has cooperated in this programme, informing that not less than Rs 60 lakhs have been spent on this programme. Senior journalist of Talcher, Dr. Rashmi Ranjan Mishra, joined as one of the guests and appreciated the hard work of the members of JCI for making such a large number of relief packets for the last seven days. Director of I Dream Management, Dipti Ranjan Biswal and 30 students of the college fully cooperated in preparing the relief materials.
