Sudhir Patra Murder Case; From Play Ground to Crime Spot Berhampur Police

Berhampur,( 26/04/26):in the vibrant murder case of land trader Sudhir Patra on Sunday Berhampur police , taking five accused on remand to the volleyball play ground , where patra often played.
Investigators sought to trace the sequence of events leading to his abduction and killing.
The accused demonstrated how they kidnapped Sudhir from the ground and showed the route they took after the abduction.
They also indicated the location where they assaulted him before the murder.
Officer Alok Jena, ASP explained that the recreation aimed to establish clarity on the chain of events and verify the statements of those involved. we conducted the demonstration repeatedly which is tallied and compare with their statement.,jena added.
The brutality of the crime shocked investigators team and residents alike. Police confirmed that the accused revealed chilling details during the recreation, highlighting the violent nature of the attack.
Authorities continue to probe the case, focusing on motives and connections between the accused and the victim.
The authorities and probing team almost at the end point suspected niece Nibedita Patra and her Boy Friend Kalu Pradhan the duo are the master mind(?).
Notably,Friday Police arrested nine people, including Sudhir’s niece Nibedita Patra, her brother Tushar Patra, and her boyfriend Kalu Pradhan.
The accused demanded Rs.2 crore ransom from Sudhir’s wife and sent a video showing him being tortured with a gun pointed at his head.
Other arrested persons include Jitun Palai, Narayan Pradhan, Ashish Mahapatra, Shubham Nayak, Shubham Goud, and Surya Pratap Sing.
It may be underline that armed men abducted him and killed him following a long-standing property dispute.
