Shikh Sanwar Elected President of Binjharpur Journalists’ Union

jajpur : Senior journalist Shikh Sanwar (Sonu) has been unanimously elected as the President of the Binjharpur Journalists’ Union during a meeting of the organization
The meeting focused on strengthening the organization, addressing various issues faced by journalists, and upholding the dignity and values of journalism. Members congratulated the newly elected president on his appointment.
Speaking after his election, Shikh Sanwar said that he would work collectively with all journalists to make the organization more active and stronger, while protecting the legitimate interests of media professionals. He emphasized that the primary responsibility of journalists is to present the true picture of society before the public in a fearless, impartial, and fact-based manner.
He further stated that journalists should not remain limited to reporting news alone but should also highlight people’s joys, sorrows, problems, the hardships of marginalized communities, and social realities before the administration and society. He added that journalism can become more credible and impactful through accurate information gathering, dedication, ethics, and commitment to public interest.
He also assured that the union would give importance to journalists’ rights, safety, and professional development.
