SDPO Aska Placed Under Suspension Charges of Pending Ongoing

Ganjam,( 13/05/26):Sri Santosh Kumar Jena, an officer in the Odisha Police Service (OPS), most recently served as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) in Aska, Odisha. In May 2026, the Government of Odisha suspended him with immediate effect under Rule 12(1) of the Odisha Civil Services Rules, pending ongoing disciplinary proceedings.
Sri Santosh Kumar Jena, OPS, SDPO, Aska, is hereby suspended with immediate effect under Rule 12(1) of the Odisha Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1962, pending disciplinary proceedings. In a communication Jena posted at IGP(S.R) and to resume with immediate effect.
Prior to his current assignment, he was the SDPO in Bhanjanagar/Aska, Ganjam district, and previously headed the Badagada Police Station. Under his leadership, the Badagada Police Station was awarded as the Best Police Station of Odisha by the Ministry of Home Affairs India Congratulations to Shri Santosh Kumar Jena, SDPO, Aska, Inspector.
