Saloon Assault and Criminal Intimidation at Padarbali; B. Sadar Police Arrest One

Brahmapur,04/10/26: B. Sadar Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with an alleged assault and criminal intimidation incident at a saloon shop in Padarbali under B. Sadar police limits.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 1 PM on September 24, 2026, at Lucky Saloon, Padarbali. Following a previous quarrel, a group of persons allegedly entered the saloon and assaulted its staff with fist blows and slaps.

When the owner and others reportedly objected, the accused allegedly abused them in obscene language, assaulted them and threatened to kill them by hurling bombs, creating panic among customers present at the shop.

The matter was reported in writing by Rupesh Behera (19), son of Tuna Behera of Padarbali, at around 7 PM the same day. Based on his complaint, B. Sadar PS Case No. 598 dated September 24, 2026 was registered under Sections 126(2)/296/115(2)/109/351(2)/3(5) of the BNS.

During the investigation, police examined witnesses and collected relevant evidence. Police said the involvement of the accused was established during the course of the investigation.

On October 4, 2026, police arrested Alekha Gouda (22), son of Ujjala Gouda of Nuagada Bada Sahi under Hinjili police limits, Ganjam district, in connection with the case. He was subsequently forwarded to the competent court.

Police said efforts are continuing to apprehend the other persons allegedly involved in the incident.
