SAKSHAM- holds state executive meeting along with District Divyang Convention

Rayagada, April 14: Samadrusti Kshyamata Vikash ebam Anusandhan Mandal(SAKSHAM) is the only national level organization in the country which has been working tirelessly for the social, educational, health and economic empowerment of all 21 types of Divyangs for the past 18 years all over India. It is a multi-faceted organization of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh.

 Last Sunday, SAKSHAM held its state executive meeting along with district Divyang Sammelan at Biju Patnaik Auditorium in Rayagada town. The main attraction of this conference was Dr. Kamalakant Pandey, National Vice President of Saksham and member of the Central Advisory Committee of the Department of Social Security, Government of India, along with Chairman of the DDRC Board. 

Divyangs from all 11 blocks of the district participated in the meeting along with SAKSHAM district level office bearers from 9 other districts of Odisha like Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Balangir, Bargarh and Nuapada. Divyangs, Divyang institutions and Care givers of Divyangs were felicitated by SAKSHAM for their excellence in various fields like social commitment, sports, empathetic journalism and social service.

The Odissi dance in Bande Utkal Janani tunes performed by junior artists enthralled everyone. The guests of the event were RSS Pranta Pracharak Shankar Panda, RSS Pranta Karyabaha Ganesh Mohapatra, subdivisional social security officer Srikant Panigrahi, SAKSHAM state president Dr. Gopeswari Hota, Rajya Sangrakyak Dr. Badal kumar Tah, state vice-president Ramachandra Sahu, state secretary Shyam Kumar Dash and district president Anita Nanda. Kamalakant Pandey was specially requested by SAKSHAM to present the 14 problems of the Divyangs to the central government. While Shyam Dash moderated the conference & Anita Nanda presided, Ramachandra Sahu gave the vote of thanks.

Similarly, in the second session, Dr. Pandey discussed with SAKSHAM state and district representatives and advised on the upcoming program and strategy. Among others, Harekrushna Bishi, Bidulata Huika and Dr. Sujata Panda participated as state representatives and gave their well-considered opinions. The members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, mainly Chidananda Panda and Sumit, volunteered in this program in registration, stage management, etc. Similarly, Bidya Bhushan Panda, M Vidya Sagar, T. Nagaraju, Rajesh Panigrahi, Mali Maleswar, Ajay Chulet, Shishir Raul, Amarendra Nath, Rakesh Himirika, Jalendra Bacheli, Santosh Mohapatra, Sibram Nayak, Dibakar Sabar were present, actively participated and contributed to the success of the program.
