Sadar Police Register Four Gambling Cases, Seize  Rs.85,730 in Cash

Brahmapur, October 24, 2026:In a crackdown on illegal gambling, Brahmapur Sadar Police have registered four cases  under the Odisha Prevention of Gambling Act (OPG Act) and seized a total of  Rs.85,730 in cash during raids conducted at various locations within their jurisdiction over the past couple of days.

According to police sources, the raids were carried out as part of an ongoing drive against gambling activities. Four separate cases were registered, and the persons involved were apprehended.

Police said the necessary legal formalities were completed and the seized cash was deposited in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

The drive forms part of the police efforts to curb illegal gambling activities and enforce the law within the Sadar Police Station limits.
