Phase 3 Voting Continues in 6 LS Seats, 42 Assembly Constituencies in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Voters in six Lok Sabha seats and 42 Assembly constituencies in Odisha are exercising their franchise in Odisha on Saturday.
The voters will decide the fate of several political bigwigs in this phase. In this phase, a total of 94,41,797 voters including 48,26, 375 male and 46,14,134 female electorates are eligible to exercise their franchise in 10,551 polling stations.
In this phase of voting, voters will vote in Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri and Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituencies as well as 42 Assembly seats under them.
In Sambalpur, BJP candidate Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is pitted against BJD heavyweight Pranab Prakash Das.
The high-voltage battle in Bhubaneswar is between BJP’s sitting MP Aparajita Sarangi and BJD’s Manmath Routray. In the Puri Lok Sabha seat, the contest is between BJP’s Sambit Patra is and BJD’s former IPS officer Arup Patnaik.
The next phase of Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha is on June 1. The counting of votes will be done on June 4.
