Paralakhemundi-Being the backward district Gajapati still not meeting to support poor & marginalized farmers to supply fertilizer & pesticides. Being the only livelihoods to assure yearly food security those small farmers particularly of Gosani & Kashinagar blocks where more paddy crop procured. On kharif season when they should be assured to get under MRP rate of fertilizers but now sold on higher prices.Line department officials knowingly remaining silent to reach at those needy farmers solutions.On last samiti meeting such grievances focussed but agriculture Department staff yet take remedial measures. Quarries still buzzing among those farmers on price hike of such pesticides than MRP which they face challenging.
