Paralakhemundi-131st Birthday of Late Parala Maharaja Sri Krishna Chandra Gajapati celebrated at Paralakhemundi & Gurandi.
At Paralakhemundi in morning floral tribute paid on his statue & samadhi by Collector Lingaraj Panda,Maharani Kalyani Devi,ZP President Gabra Tirupati Rao, ASP Bamadev Singh, Utkal Sammelani Vice President Purnachandra Mahapatra, Binod Chandra Jena, Bharat Bhusan Mahanty, Pradip Nayak.At evening a meeting organized jointly by Utkal Hiteishini Samaj & district administration. ZP President GTRao graced as chief guest & Purnachandra Mahapatra as chief speaker. As guests of honor Binod Chandra Jena,Bhagabat Padhi, Kiran Kumar Mahanty, Bharat bhusan Mahanty shared their views. Speakers highlighted on deemed contributions of late Maharaja to bring new Odisha as full pledged state. Besides that his role on education, agriculture & culture to unite all Odia community. Bichitrananda Bebarta welcomed the guests where Tripati Prasad Panda conveyed vote of thanks. DIPRO Swaraj Sisa & district culture officer Archana Mangaraj coordinated the program. Similarly held at Gurandi government high school presided by headmistress Rajeswari Devi, as chief guest Bhagabat Padhi & chief speaker Binod Chandra Jena & Subaschandra Panda as guest of honor graced on the occasion.Speakers scored late Maharaja who laid foundation for new Odisha to covete all Odia speaking areas inside one platform. His challenges before round table conference at London could shine for formation of new state.Sasmita Jena & Limai Charan Patra also spoke on the occasion.Held on behalf of senior citizens forum Pitabas Samal conveyed vote of thanks.
