SP Berhampur Visits Examination Centres to Review Security Arrangements

Berhampur,(06/06/26):TheOdisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Preliminary Examination was conducted smoothly on June 6, 2026, across 15 examination centres in Berhampur. A total of 6,472 candidates had applied for the examination, which was held in two shifts.

Elaborate security arrangements were made by the district police to ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the examination. Police personnel from G. Nuagaon Police Station, B. Town Police Station, B.N. Pur Police Station, Gopalpur Police Station, and Nimakhandi Police Station were deployed at the respective examination centres.

In addition, eight APR constables from the Reserve Inspector (RI), Berhampur, were deputed to escort confidential question paper packets from the Special Treasury, Berhampur, to the examination centres. Lady constables were also deployed at various centres as required.

Senior district police officers, including the Superintendent of Police (SP), Berhampur, Additional Superintendents of Police (Addl. SPs), and Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), visited the examination centres to oversee security arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.

No untoward incident was reported from any examination centre, and the examination was conducted peacefully as per schedule.
