Odisha Govt.Suspends Dy. Collector,Kalahandi for negligence of Duty

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday suspended Dy.Collector of Kalahandi, Ms.Anisha Das for gross negligence of duty.

“A disciplinary proceeding against Das was framed against Ms.Anisha for negligence in discharging the government duties, lack of absolute integrity and negligence in her official duty,” reveal a official notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Govt of Odisha.

The Department has asked Ms.Anisha not to leave the district headquarters without obtaining the prior permission of the Collecotr,Kalahandi.

As per the source, a truck owner had lodged a complaint against Ms.Anisha, when she was posted as the Tehsildar of Betanati in Mayurbhanj, alleging that the had demanded a bribe (?).

The owner of the truck further alleged that Ms.Anisha Das had threatened him and forcibly taken away huge amount from him. To substantiate his allegation, the truck owner had also handed over the audio clip of their conversation to the police. Basis on the allegation, the government had transferred Das to Kalahandi and posted her as Dy.Collector one month ago.
