Odisha DGP, Arun Sarangi Conducted High Level Meting Among IPS Officers On Election-2024 Preparedness

Cuttack: On Saturday Odisha Director General of Police Mr.Arun Sarangi chaired a high level meeting on the general election preparedness of the Odisha police.

The DGP has directed to all senior police officers to conduct the upcoming general elections-2024 in a free and fair, crime-free and law-and-order manner.

The top cop has emphasized to follow all the rules of the Election Commission of India.

In view of the general elections, the DGP has directed the senior officials to check the blocking and motor vehicles at sensitive places.

He also advised the police officers to win the trust and confidence of the common people.

DGP, Sarangi reviewed various important issues through video conferencing with all the IGs and DIGs of the state.

Among all senor officers ADG,Police(HRPC),Director (SCRB), ADG,Police(SAP), Director (Intelligence), ADG,(Hdqrs.),Commissioner of Police (Cuttack- Bhubaneswar), ADG, Police (L&O), ADG,of Police (Operations),ADG of Police, (Railways & Coastal Security), I.G. of Police, (Provisoinal.), IG of Police, (Personnel), I.G. of Police (CAW & CW), I.G. of Police (Communication), DCP (Cuttack) and other senior officials attended the meeting.

Keeping in view, several crucial issues including cases related to election

1. Offensive Crimes in social media

2. Election related violence.

3. Action against unauthorised  road blocking especially Mini and Major Towns

4. Road barricade at all sensitive locations,

5. NBW Drive

6. Excise drive and Enforcement

7.Checking of  Suspected Vehicles,

8. Day and night, Patrolling

9.To be watchful  in Maoist prone districts.

10.illegal liquor related crime mapping

11.Preparation of Fake postal ballot

12.llegal processions without Police clearance,

13.Maintain healthy relationship with Public and Press.
