Nutrition festival organized in Dumuriguda village of Koraput district

Sunabeda:Odisha Nitrition Festival was organized by Odisha Livelihood Mission in Koraput district at Dumuriguda village of Padmapur Panchayat of Koraput block. Members of four target groups of Swabhiman Project under Odisha Livelihood Mission, members of self-help group, Sarpanch Lakshmi Hanjariya, President of Shabri Mahila Mahasangh, Jyotirekha Chetty, Pana Pangi, khristadas Bagh, all nutritionists of Panchayat, Anganwadi worker Kuntala Bagh , MBK, Shipra Raut was present in the programme. On this occasion, to improve the overall health condition of the women, villagers were made aware about the use of traditional food available in their own local area. Specially, adolescent girls, newlyweds, pregnant women, mothers of children below 0-2 years of age were being advised to eat a balanced diet to avoid the problems of malnutrition. Nutrition Sakhi Nirsa Choudhary, Loni Suna also participated in the deliberation and gave their suggestions.
