NTPC TALCHER KANIHA REWARDS MERITORIOUS STUDENTS WITH UTKARSH SCHOLARSHIPS

Talcher,Kanhia,21/12/19:A total of 40 students were rewarded with meritorious scholarships under the Utkarsh initiative of NTPC Talcher Kaniha on December 21, 2019. Under this initiative, 38 students, Class 10 pass-outs, from 15 different schools around the Station were honored with scholarships worth Rs 3,000/- to assist their learning development. In addition, scholarships worth Rs. 90,000/- each were also given to two students pursuing B.Tech in NIT Rourkela and VSSUT colleges.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Shri Sudip Nag CGM, NTPC Talcher Kaniha congratulated the students for their excellent academic performance. He encouraged the students to work hard towards their ambitions with passion and zeal. Shri Sudip Nag further emphasized the role of parents in shaping our career goals and motivated the students to work hard towards their aspirations and dreams.
The ultimate objective of this event was to encourage and support the students towards better and improved learning under the CSR initiative of NTPC Talcher Kaniha.The scholarships were distributed in the presence of Shri PMGV Srinivas, AGM (HR), Shri Jakir Khan, DGM (HR), Shri A.K Das, Sr. Manager (HR) along with other dignitaries.
