MLA Narsingh Madkami Reviews Regional Development and Model Village Schemes in Malkangiri

 Priority Placed on Proper Project Implementation and Transparent Utilization of Government Funds

 Malkangiri, 11/09/26:An important monthly review meeting regarding the progress of the Constituency Development Scheme, the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Fund, and the Model Village Programme was held at the Zilla Parishad conference hall in Malkangiri headquarters. Malkangiri MLA Narsingh Madkami presided over the meeting and reviewed the regional development activities. During the discussion, a comprehensive review was conducted regarding the current status, implementation success, incomplete construction works, and future course of action for various schemes—specifically the MLA Constituency Development Fund, Chief Minister’s Special Assistance, and the proposed ‘Adarsha Gram’ (Model Village) development initiatives.

Relevant administrative officials provided detailed information regarding the layouts and planned projects for the model villages identified by MLA Shri Madkami. Instructions were issued to systematically implement essential infrastructure development, the delivery of basic services, and other progressive activities in these villages. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the utilization of the special assistance grant and the progress of construction works sanctioned under it. Emphasis was placed on the transparent and proper use of allocated funds, as well as on the selection and execution of new projects based on the current demands of the public.

Key officials present at the review meeting included Chief Development Officer Dasharathi Sarabu, Project Administrator of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Haldhar Sabar, Executive Officer of Malkangiri Municipality Rajib Lochan Nayak, and District Planning Deputy Director Parameswar Raut, along with the Executive Officers of Panchayat Samitis from the Malkangiri, Podia, Kalimela, Chitrakonda, and Korukonda areas. Officials presented the latest progress reports on schemes being implemented across the region’s various blocks and municipal areas. Instructions were issued to complete sanctioned projects within the stipulated timeframes—avoiding unnecessary delays—while strictly ensuring construction quality and regular field-level supervision.
